Iran media confirm Canada resient’s death sentence

The Supreme Court reinstated the death sentence against Saeed Malekpour” confirmed news agency Fars, Monday 30th January.

Annulled by the Iranian Supreme court in June last year, no public explanation has been given as to why the sentence was reinstated.

The 36-year-old Canadian resident computer programmer was found guilty in December 2010 of "designing and moderating adult content websites," "agitation against the regime," and "insulting the sanctity of Islam", while visiting his dying father.

According to the Iranian legislation, he can be executed any moment. That’s why, international community, such as the U.S, France and Canada, is calling for its immediate release.
